I was born and raised in the small town of Columbus, Montana. I attended Columbus Elementary, Middle School and High School. I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Carroll College in Helena, Montana. From Carroll College I went to Montana State University in Billings, Montana where I earned a degree of Master of Education in School Counseling.
After many recruitment fairs and interviews I accepted a schoo l counseling position with the Bering Strait School District in Unalakleet, Alaska. During my three years in Unalakleet, I was an itinerant counselor for Unalakleet and Shaktoolik, a School to Work Specialist, and a full time counselor in Unalakleet. I was also the coordinator for the Peer Helper Program for the school district.
After three years in Rural Alaska, I decided it was time to move on to a bigger place. Rural Alaska Community Action Program (RurAL CAP) hired me to coordinate the Parents As Teachers Program. I worked for RurAL CAP for two years. Then I worked as a school counselor for the Anchorage School District at Ptarmigan Elementary School for two years.
During my four years in Anchorage I was an Adjunct Faculty member for the University of Alaska. I was also an Early Childhood Trainer and Consultant. After spending seven years in Alaska, I was off on another adventure in Jakarta Indonesia. I worked for Jakarta International School as an Elementary School Counselor.
I spent three very adventerous years in Indonesia! Now I am off on a new adventure to Riyadh Saudi Arabia! I am working for the American International School as a grade 6-9 counselor.
